Duties of Vice -rector for Academic Affairs:

  • Organize the implementation of laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and orders of the President, resolutions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of education and training;
  • Organize the educational process on the basis of state educational standards and provide training of qualified personnel;
  • Ensuring that all deans, heads of departments and teachers are fully aware of the content of knowledge and the set of requirements for the level of training in accordance with state educational standards;
  • Organize the implementation of orders, directives and instructions of higher authorities, decisions of the Academic Council of the University on issues related to the educational process and the rector's orders;
  • Methods and tools for studying the development trends of the education system of advanced countries, the Law "On Education", the "National Training Program" and other laws related to education development and implementation;
  • Organize the introduction and effective use of advanced forms of teaching in the educational process, including distance learning, new pedagogical and information and communication technologies;
  • Organize the creation and translation of textbooks and teaching aids in accordance with the requirements of the concept of creating a new generation of textbooks for continuing education;
  • Develop proposals for curriculum improvement; organization of work on preparation of textbooks, manuals;
  • Organization of training, retraining and advanced training of teachers and specialists;
  • Provide curricula and programs in all areas of study;
  • Leading the educational-methodical council, coordinating, organizing and supervising the work of the departments and deans of the educational process;
  • Approve work plans of teaching departments, faculties and departments and monitor their implementation;
  • Organization of publishing work on the provision of student training and production practices, textbooks, teaching materials;
  • Quality control of lessons, control and maintenance of personal plans of professors and teachers;
  • Organize educational and methodological conferences, lead the work of the methodological council of the university and the creation of pedagogical skills, generalization of best practices;
  • Targeted preparation of students for the Republican and international Olympic competitions, analysis of the results of the Olympiad, continuous organization and management of preparation for Presidential and state scholarships;
  • Organization and management of educational processes based on the traditions of teachers and students, the introduction of modern rating systems for the development of students' knowledge, the organization of objective production of documentary knowledge;
  • Supervise and organize the expulsion of students who are unable to study subjects, the reinstatement of those who were expelled for good reasons, the transfer of students from one course to another, the appointment of scholarships;
  • Develop curricula, conduct trainings, distribute workloads to departments, prepare annual reports and develop proposals for the educational process;
  • Implement modern methods and opportunities for students to study independently, create the necessary conditions;
  • Development of proposals for the staff of faculty and support staff, the organization of work to provide departments and divisions with qualified personnel;
  • Leading the development and implementation of competitive recruitment, preparation of proposals for the recruitment of trainee-researchers-researchers-researchers and masters, improvement and professional development plans for faculty;
  • Development of issues on efficient use of classrooms, improvement of technical equipment of classrooms and laboratories;
  • Organize first-year enrollment, review deans' proposals for expulsion, and academic leave;
  • Organize student internships and, for this purpose, establish regular contacts with the heads of enterprises and organizations, organize the integration of educational work with manufacturing enterprises;
  • Ensuring the submission of educational and methodical reports to the administration in the prescribed form, the preparation and approval, revision, improvement of curricula for students of special correspondence departments on the basis of state standards;
  • Organization and management of the supply of teaching materials at the faculties, effective and quality organization of the educational process, control over the activities of the responsible departments;
  • Take action against teachers who violate academic discipline, prepare proposals to terminate their contracts;
  • Preparation of proposals for the establishment of faculties and departments in cooperation with related higher education institutions of foreign countries in order to improve the content of education, to ensure the training of specialists in accordance with international requirements;
  • Conducting annual reports of departments and faculties, analysis and conclusions, evaluation of teaching methods of teachers in a modern way;
  • Regular educational cooperation with higher education institutions, active participation of professors and teachers in conferences, seminars, cooperation with local authorities;
  • To determine, analyze and improve the annual ranking of the higher education institution in the prescribed manner;
  • Regular internal attestation of the higher education institution in accordance with the established procedure, active participation in the preparation and conduct of external attestation.
